Pickerd of the Seventy will be joining us.  In addition to these regular meetings, there will be a meeting at 9:20 a.m. on Sunday for all new members and investigators to meet with the Stake Presidency and Elder Pickerd.

Stake Relief Society Birthday Celebration - Save the Date...

WHO:                           All Sisters 18 & Over

WHEN:                         Saturday, March 17th, 9:00 to 11:00 A.M.

WHERE:                       East Stake Center, Gateway & Wyoming Building

WHAT TO BRING:      Any of the items on the list

DRESS:                       Casual!!!

      BREAKFAST WILL BE SERVED BY OUR STAKE PRESIDENCY AND HIGH COUNCIL

This project will benefit the Women's Development Center of Southern Nevada.  They help women and children who are victims of domestic violence.  There will be 3 areas of focus:  Hygiene Kits; Transitional Apartment Items; Children's Kits.

THE LIST:

New:  Full-size shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.

New or Gently Used: Towels, twin-size bed sheets, pots, pans, dishes, cooking utensils, lamps, brooms,    mops, cleaning supplies, etc.

New or Gently Used:  Children's books, craft supplies, school supplies, etc.

Start saving and collecting now!  This will be a fun morning...

• Want to start a vegetable garden this year?  This is your year.  We have the Valley's greatest expert coming to teach us how this TUESDAY.  Linn Mills is a horticulturist for the Las Vegas Valley Water District at the Springs Preserve.  His column appears weekly in the Sunday Living section of the Las Vegas Review Journal.  He will be teaching us on Tuesday, February 14th at 6:30 p.m.  The timing is perfect to get started, so please plan on joining us.  He will be taking questions at the end of the evening about all your vegetable garden dreams.  Childcare will be provided and there will be a light supper - salad bar, of course!
